Rooted in who you are. Growing toward what matters.

Coaching, mentoring, mindfulness, and meaningful gatherings with Ranjit Dhari.

Welcome

Space for you and what comes next.

Perhaps you are navigating a transition, carrying responsibilities that leave little room for yourself, or wondering what you want from this next season of life.

You may be seeking support to strengthen your confidence, care for your wellbeing, or find your voice in places where you have felt unheard.

I offer space to pause, hear yourself more clearly, and explore what supports your wellbeing. Together, we can build on your strengths, consider your choices, and take practical steps toward the life you want to live.

I welcome people from all walks of life, with a particular commitment to supporting women and women of colour.

You are welcome to begin wherever you are.

“Like trees moving with the wind, we can find ways to remain grounded while responding to the changes around us.”

What would you like to make room for?

I’m Ranjit Dhari, a coach, mentor, educator, mindfulness teacher, and retreat facilitator.

My work brings together steadfast leadership and mentorship in community and university life, grounded in public health nursing, education, and a commitment to equity. I believe people can make meaningful choices when they have access to information, support, and space to hear themselves.

At its heart is a simple belief: people deserve information, encouragement, and opportunities that strengthen their ability to shape their own lives.

Let’s begin with what matters to you.

A lifelong commitment

To wellbeing and possibility.

Across public health nursing and education, I have worked alongside students, families, colleagues, and communities. These relationships continue to shape my commitment to prevention, health promotion, and equity.

Roots · Experience

Education and community

I am an Associate Professor of Teaching Emeritus at the University of British Columbia’s School of Nursing. I hold a Master of Science in Nursing from UBC and a Bachelor of Nursing from the University of Manitoba.

At UBC, I co-created NURS 180: Stress and Strategies to Promote Wellbeing with Kathy O’Flynn-Magee, bringing practical wellbeing education to undergraduate students across disciplines.

Trunk · Leadership & Equity

Steadfast leadership. Space for every voice.

I helped launch the UBC School of Nursing’s Anti-Racism Task Force and played a major role in listening groups where students, faculty, and staff could share their experiences of systemic racism. This work helped the task force become an Anti-Racism Standing Committee, strengthening an ongoing commitment to change.

My leadership brings attentive listening and a willingness to stay with difficult conversations. My mentorship supports people in recognizing their capacity to lead and contribute, in university settings and the wider community.

Branches · Teaching

Learning that changes lives

I have developed and helped launch teaching initiatives that connect classroom learning with everyday life, including wellbeing education, blended learning modules, group facilitation workshops, and community learning partnerships.

My teaching and facilitation have inspired and empowered students, helping them discover their direction and change how they see themselves and their capacity to contribute. That same commitment now informs my coaching, mentoring, and retreats.

Canopy · How I Work

Rootedness and flexibility

I listen with curiosity and respect. Together, we make room for your experience, explore useful information and practices, and identify steps that feel meaningful and possible.

You remain the person who decides what works for your life.

“Like a tree that stands tall while moving with the wind, we can nurture both rootedness and flexibility, honouring who we are while remaining open to growth.”
Unseen: Ranjit’s Story
Film & Advocacy

Making inequity visible.

In Unseen: Ranjit’s Story, a film made with Adrian Juric, I share experiences of racism and exclusion as an Indo-Canadian nurse. The film invites reflection on whose voices are heard and whose contributions remain unseen.

My collaborative scholarship also addresses barriers to promotion and career success for nurses of colour, including the presentation Make Space for a Black, Indigenous, People of Colour Executive Leadership Seat: Open the door. Together, this work calls for greater equity, recognition, and opportunity in nursing leadership.
